enjoyed the bookThe heroine was spunky and practical The hero was admirable the court room scene was well done However, she s a poor French seamstress and he was tortured by the French, rich and upper class The only problem I had with the book had to do with two plot points I don t want to spoil the book and maybe the big coincidence and misdirected anger of the villain won t bother other readers.

This book might have been less confusing if I had read the two previous books in the series first The hero was a one time spy for the government during the war His encounters with his fellow spies were sometimes confusing.Other than that, it was a basic Regency period novel The hero was a lawyer, which was ineresting.
